• Anti-Bullying Program for STUDENT-ATHLETES

     


    Due to their high visibility, Student-Athletes possess tremendous influence in shaping the culture of a school environment. These leaders can be important agents of change – especially as it relates to Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying. This presentation is designed to equip student leaders with the necessary tools and information to prevent bullying in all of its forms. Simply, our objective is to train your student leaders to take responsibility in creating a safe and inclusive school environment.
    Learning Outcomes: At the conclusion of this interactive presentation, Student-Athletes will:
     Understand their influence as role models
     Understand their role in helping to build & maintain a safe, inclusive culture
     Realize the dangerous impact of Stereotypes and learn how to improve respect via communication
     Understand that an unsafe, unhealthy environment negatively impacts everyone
     Possess Specific instruction on how to handle incidents of potential bullying


    Why Lee Rubin?
    Lee Rubin understands what it means to be a leader. He was a three-sport scholar-athlete and member of the National Honor Society at Manalapan High School in Central New Jersey. Lee was a three-year starter and team captain for the Penn State Nittany Lion Football team. After graduating with a degree in Speech Communications, and a minor in Business, he spent more than 15 years as a Human Resources professional with a variety of Fortune 500 companies. As a professional speaker, he has spent years speaking to student-athletes at the high school and college level throughout the country. His ability to share leadership and team-building principles with tremendous clarity makes him a highly sought after speaker. Lee is the author of WIN: Simple Insights to Help Student-Athletes Win the Game of Life.
    Program Format:
     This program requires 90 minutes, roughly two 45-minute class periods.
     Leaders from the various sports should be selected by Coaches, Teachers, and Administrators.
     The total number of participants should not exceed 50.
