SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT TO THE BOARD

A.    PERSONNEL

1.   Co-curriculum Appointments             Nothing to Report       

The Superintendent recommends the persons shown on schedule A, highlighted in yellow,
be appointed to the listed co-curriculum/athletic coaching positions at the stipends shown
for the 2020-2021 school year and are paid for time served in the positions.  Approval is
recommended.



2.  Resolution for Emergency Hiring           Nothing to Report     

We are now required to submit each month to the County Education Office a list of persons we have
hired that have not yet received final approval of their criminal history check.  The Superintendent
recommends approval of the resolution shown on SCHEDULE B that lists those persons and the positions
to which they have been appointed.



3.  Appointment: Per Diem Substitute

The persons listed on SCHEDULE C are recommended for employment as per diem substitute staff
for the 2020-2021 school year, pending completion of all pre-employment requirements. Certificates
held and compensation rates are also shown.  Approval is recommended.




4.  Approval: Professional Development/School Business Requests    Nothing to Report

The Superintendent recommends approval of the Professional Development/School Business
requests shown on SCHEDULE D.  Details of these requests and costs to the district are shown 
on the schedule.





5.  Approval Resignation

S. Ivins, a Custodian at Triton High School, has submitted a letter of resignation, to be effective
June 30, 2021. The Superintendent recommends acceptance of the resignation.

D. Spinuzza, a Special Education Aide at Triton High School, has submitted a letter of resignation,
to be effective June 16, 2021.  The Superintendent recommends acceptance of the resignation. 

M. Dipierro, a Special Education Aide at Triton High School, has submitted a letter of resignation,
to be effective June 17, 2021.  The Superintendent recommends acceptance of the resignation. 



6.  Approval: Leave of Absence

The Superintendent recommends the Board of Education approve the leave of absence for the
following employee:

#1319, has requested FMLA beginning September 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022 using
8 sick days then unpaid.

#1881, has requested FMLA beginning April 15, 2021 through May 13, 2021 unpaid.

#0523, has requested FMLA beginning April 22, 2021 through May 21, 2021 using sick
and personal days then unpaid.


7. Reappointment: Schools' Administrative Staff 2021-2021

The Superintendent recommends reappointment of district administrative staff for the 2021-2022
school year. Details of assignments and salaries are shown on SCHEDULE H.

9.  Reappointment of District Support Staff 2021-2022

The Superintendent recommends reappointment of district support staff for the 2020-2021 school
year. Details of assignments and salaries are shown on the schedules listed below.

Reappointment of District Professional Staff 2021-2022

The Superintendent recommends reappointment of district professional staff for the 2021-2022
school year.  Details are shown on SCHEDULE R.



11.  Approval: Reappointment of School Security

The Superintendent recommends Board of Education approve the reappointment of the School Security
employees for the 2021-2022 school year.  Details are shown on the attached SCHEDULE S.
 


12.  Appointment: Revised Summer Work Pay

The Superintendent requests Board of Education approve the revised summer pay for the employee
listed on the attached schedule.  Details are shown on the attached SCHEDULE T.
 

 

13.  Appointment: ROTC Summer Work

The Superintendent requests Board of Education approval for the following employees listed on the
attached schedule for ROTC summer work.  Details are shown on the attached SCHEDULE U.
 


14.  Transfer-Professional & Support Staff (Voluntary & Involuntary)

The Superintendent recommends Board of Education approval of the voluntary and involuntary transfers
for Triton, Highland and Timber Creek, effective September 1, 2021, as listed on SCHEDULE W.
 




15.  Appointment: Summer School Teachers

The Superintendent requests Board of Education approval for the following employees listed on the
attached schedule as Summer School Teachers for the 2020-2021 school year.  Details of assignments
and salaries shown on SCHEDULE X.
 


16.  Appointment: Professional Staff

The Superintendent recommends the appointment of the new hire for the 2021-2022 school year.
Details of the assignment and salary are shown on SCHEDULE Y.



17.  Reappointment: Bus Aides

The Superintendent recommends the appointment of the bus aides for the school year
2021-2022. Details are shown on SCHEDULE Z.
 


18.  Approval: Student Teachers/Interns

The Superintendent recommends permission be granted for the following Rutgers
University student(s) to serve their Clinical Practice I & II Placements for the
2021-2022 school year.

H.     MISCELLANEOUS

1. Special Education - Out of District Placements 2020-2021     Nothing to Report

For the school year 2020-2021, the Child Study Team has placed the classified students listed
on SCHEDULE E in special education institutions believed to be the best staffed and equipped
to deal with the specific learning disabilities identified for these students.  Acknowledgement of
the Board of Education for these placements is requested.
 


2.  Harassment Intimidation & Bullying (HIB) Investigations Nothing to Report

Be it resolved that the Black Horse Pike Regional School District Board of Education acknowledges
that the HIB investigations were presented within the Executive Session portion of the April 22, 2021  
Board of Education Meeting by the Superintendent of Schools and the District Anti-Bullying Coordinator.  
Details are shown on SCHEDULE F.
 

Be it resolved that the Black Horse Pike Regional School District Board of Education approves 
the results of the HIB Investigations that were presented and acknowledged within Executive
Session portion of the March 18, 2021 Board of Education Meeting by the Superintendent 
of Schools and the District Anti-Bullying Coordinator.  Details are shown on SCHEDULE G.
 


3.  Approval: Supervised & Sponsored Activities

The Superintendent recommends Board of Education approval for all supervised and
sponsored activities that are approved by Administration for the 2020-2021 school year.


4.  Approval: Therapy Dog Programs

The Superintendent recommends Board of Education approval to partner with Tri-State K-9 Crisis
Response Team and P.A.W.S..  Black Horse Pike Regional would like to host both Therapy Dog
organizations for use with our students and staff. Details are shown on the attached schedule.
 


 5.  Approval: Approve Hires Between Meetings

The Superintendent requests permission to offer employment to potential staff members, who
have been properly certified and meet all requirements, prior to the Board of Education meetings
for the 2021-2022 school year. These appointments would be approved by the Board at the subsequent
board meeting.



6.  Approval: Black Hawk Helicopter/Triton High School

The Superintendent recommends Board of Education approval for the National Guard to land a
Black Hawk helicopter at Triton High School, May 26, 2021.  The landing will be around 7:25 a.m
and remain outside forthe duration of the school day to interact with our PE Classes.  Departure
will be around 11:45.  The NationalGuard will be reaching out to Runnemede Fire and Police to
be on scene as well.
