Highland Regional High School

Vocal Resolution came in 4th place over the weekend with an outstanding performance at the International Competition for High School A Cappella Mid-Atlantic Quarterfinal!  They represented Highland well in both performance and behavior throughout competition day!

 

12th graders Desiree Biczel (flute) and Delaney Savidge (clarinet) were selected via audition for the All-South Jersey Symphonic Band in mid-December.  

 

It is Desiree's second and Delaney's first selection.  They represented Highland yesterday in the 74th Annual South Jersey Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band Concert held at Rowan University.

 

During the concert, Desiree Biczel was announced as the winner of a $1000 Senior scholarship!  It is the most prestigious award given out by the South Jersey Band and Orchestra Director's Association, and only two per year are available.  Desiree had to apply, audition, and interview for consideration.   In the 29 year history of the SJBODA Senior Scholarship, Desiree is only the second BHPRSD student to be awarded!  (2007 - William Wells - Timber Creek HS)
