The easiest way to explain my role is professionally helping students “get it together”. My job is to assist students with navigating the school environment more effectively. I do this through regular meetings, goal setting, and lessons to support organization, time management, communication, and establishing productive routines. I also collaborate with counselors, VPs, and teachers so that we can all come together and help our students help themselves!
What students are eligible to work with me?
Any upper classman who is NOT receiving special education services, but is struggling academically, has an opportunity to work with me. Vice-principals, teachers, or counselors can recommend students to me. Once I receive the request,Ireview student records, and speak with the student, teachers, counselors, and administrators to determine how I can help them.
