What exactly does a Student Success Coach do?
- The easiest way to explain my role is professionally helping students “get it together”. My job is to assist students in navigating the school environment more effectively. I do this through regular meetings, goal setting, and lessons to support organization, time management, communication, and establishing productive routines. I also collaborate with counselors, VPs, and teachers so that we can all come together and help our students help themselves!
What students are eligible to work with me?
- Any upper classman who is NOT receiving special education services, but is struggling academically, has an opportunity to work with me. Vice-principals, teachers, or counselors can recommend students to me. Once I receive the request, I review student records, and speak with the student, teachers, counselors, and administrators to determine how I can help them.
