A.P., SAT and PSAT Information

  • We WILL be tesing all students in 10th and 11th grade using the PSAT on October 13th.  This is free to all students.  The PSAT/NMSQT Program provides valuable resources that help students prepare for the SAT and take important first steps toward college. It allows eligible eleventh grade students to enter scholarship and recognition programs, and provides younger students in grades 10 & 11 with early feedback on academic skills they can work to improve.

We will also be paying for one sitting for all juniors for the SAT in the spring.  SAT day this year will be Wednesday, March 2nd.

We also strongly encourage all students who enrolled in an Advanced Placement course to sit for the Advanced Placement Exam.  Even if they are a senior and have already been accepted into a college.  The experience of taking the cumulative exam is an invaluable experience that will provide students with an opportunity to practice taking a final as they will in college.  In order to lesson the financial burden, our district will be discounting all A.P. tests students take from the $91 college board charges to $50 per test.  In addition to signing an agreement that they will do their absolute best on the test, if the student earns a 3, 4 or 5, we will reimburse the $50 back to the student in September of 2022.
