Message from the District Supervisor:
In order to prepare our students to be career and/or college ready, we believe in utilizing research-based effective teaching strategies to engage our students in active learning of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards in Mathematics. These standards provide clarity and specificity by stressing conceptual understanding of key ideas and concentrate on a clear set of math skills and concepts. Through rigorous curricula married with the eight Standards for Mathematical Practice, we are simultaneously strengthening students' problem-solving and critical thinking strategies to ensure their success in the 21st century. All members of our mathematics department hold high expectations for our students and are committed to helping each student reach their highest potential in mathematics.
