• Triton High School has an Emergency Response Plan that is reviewed and updated annually. The plan is reviewed in collaboration with the school district's School Safety Specialist, building administration, and the Runnemede Police Department. Triton maintains a partnership with Bellmawr and Gloucester Township Police Departments. Below are some details of the Emergency Response Plan:

    • Schools are required to conduct one fire drill and one security drill monthly.
    • All exterior doors are locked at all times.
    • All classroom doors are expected to be closed locked at all times.
    • There is one entrance for all visitors during the school day. (Please click on the "Visitor Information" tab for more information).
      • The school entrance is staffed by building security personnel at all times throughout the day and after school until 4:00 pm, except on days before a holiday and half days for students.
    • Triton's School Resource Officer (SRO) is a member of the Runnemede Police Department.
    • Triton employs an additional security staff member who is responsible for ensuring that exterior doors are locked and monitoring the hallways for student behavior.
    • Triton is equipped with 90 + security cameras throughout the property.
    • All classroom doors are equipped with NIGHTLOCK security door stoppers which provide additional support to a locked classroom door.
    • Triton is also equipped with a LENS Security System for lockdowns.
      • This allows the building to call for an immediate lockdown, if necessary, while alerting 9-1-1 and activating emergency strobe lights simultaneously.
    • Triton has five (5) AED's throughout the building to assist a non-responsive individual.
    • Triton has NARCAN kits available.
