Major Robert Simpson - Senior Aerospace Science Instructor. 20 years Active duty in the U.S.A.F serving as a staff officer, missile crew commander and operations flight chief. Sees AFJROTC as a calling where he can mentor future leaders for a successful life; post secondary school. Major Simpson holds a B.A. and a M.A in History and is alternatively certified in NJ to be a Social Studies Teacher. Major Simpson's military career took him to seven states and the countries of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and the Philippines. This travel helped to broaden his life's perspective, knowledge and experiences and he now uses these experiences to help positively mold cadets and the students he interacts with on a daily basis. Chief Master Sergeant Ronald Mahoney. Aerospace Science Instructor. 27.5 years Active duty as an aircraft mechanic, Flight Engineer, instructor, evaluator, and manager. Chief Mahoney, has a passion for AFJROTC and what it offers to young people in preparing them for productive futures within and beyond their tenure in high school. Chief Mahoney holds associate degrees in Aircraft Maintenance and Flight Operations from the Community College of the Air Force; BS in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Management from Tourou University International and is certified in the state of New Jersey as a Teacher of Military Science. Additionally, Chief holds Federal Aviation Administration certificates as an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic, Turbojet Flight Engineer, and Advanced Ground Instructor. Chief Mahoney has traveled extensively as an airlift and tanker aircraft crewmember visiting at least 50 countries on six of the seven continents and has deployed in support of most contingency operations in the recent past including Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
