1. DATES/TIMES: Tues. July 6 - Wed. Aug 4, 2021. NO NJSLA testing for the summer 2021
~ Students will attend IN-PERSON at their respective schools, or another districtwide school, for the subjects offered. In-Person seating will be limited so register early.
~ Students will attend Monday - Thursday for instruction. NO CLASSES ON FRIDAYS!
~ Session 1: 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM & Session 2: 10:45 AM - 12:45 PM

3. SUMMER SCHOOL FEES:
~ Free/Reduced lunch students = *discount prices avail (contact Mr. Alessandroni 227-4100 x4032)
~ NON-free/reduced lunch students = $100 per course (PE $75, Health $25)
4. APEX OPTIONS:
Prescriptive Courses - APEX Prescriptive courses are courses that are completed online, IN-PERSON.
~ Each IN-PERSON section will be limited to the number of students we can educate so the overflow will be using APEX prescriptive as a means to remediate
~ Students will have a BHP staff member overseeing their work IN-PERSON
~ Fees are exactly the same as the IN-PERSON courses
ORIGINAL CREDIT Courses: ALL ORIGINAL CREDIT COURSES ARE COMPLETED AT HIGHLAND HS!
~ APEX ORIGINAL CREDIT are courses being completed for the first time (or English III or IV without research papers)
~ Fees are $200.00 for a FY course, $100 for a SEM course (discounts do apply to free/reduced lunch students here as well)
5. COURSES: (contingent upon student enrollment and a final grade of 50% - 64%)
~ Health, grades 9-12 (both sessions)
~ Physical Education, grades 9-12 (both sessions)
~ English I - III (FG between 50% - 64%) (both sessions)
~ English III / English IV Prescriptive (FG between 50% - 64%) + *owe research paper (both sessions)
~ English III / English IV ORIGINAL CREDIT (FG < 50% + ADM permission) + *owe research paper (both sessions)
*Students who owe research papers will not have an IN-PERSON option. These students will use APEX in some capacity + complete the research paper w/an Eng teacher
~ Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II (both sessions)
~ Chemistry (session 1), Physics and Biology (session 2)
~ US History I (session 1) , World History/Cultures and US History II (session 2)
*Special Education options - please discuss with case managers/counselors for APEX options
~ Transportation is the responsibility of the family and is NOT provided by the BHPRSD.
~ Students will be removed from the program after one unexcused absence or two unexcused latenesses
~ Any disciplinary infraction may also result in removal from the program
~ Students are required to use their district issued Chromebooks.
